THEIR STORY.

- For the first thirteen years of her life, Dolorès Lim — known as Lola to those close to her — had a thoroughly cosmopolitan childhood. Her mother was a model; her father, a champion Khun Khmer prizefighter. When she wasn’t away at boarding school, she moved constantly, accompanying her mother to fashion shoots and her father to fights around the world. Her own ambitions shifted month to month; at one point, she dreamed of becoming a model-boxer (yes, both) herself. It wasn’t realistic, but she was young, and she believed there would always be time to figure out how to make it work.
- The Architects, of course, had other plans. She was with her father in Chiang Mai when the bombs fell. Her mother, at home in Paris, was never seen again. Lola and her father escaped the city with other survivors and established a settlement deep in the forest between Chiang Mai and Doi Suthep. The transition was brutal for someone raised in comfort and motion, but what was the alternative? Get chipped and live life in a fog? No, thank you.
- They lived in the forest settlement for years. Lola learned Thai, helped care for the younger children, and joined periodic supply runs into Chiang Mai proper. By her late teens, she had become part of the group’s reconnaissance team, a role she retained when the settlement merged with a larger community near the Laos border.
- Consolidation proved to be a fatal mistake: the community was eventually discovered and rounded up. Her father was killed in the ensuing struggle; Lola was chipped and transported to a Pres city in Singapore. She remained under the Veil for approximately seven years before being rescued by a Dislinked operative and taken to a stronghold near the remnants of Bangkok.
- Freshly unVeiled at 28, furious at the loss of seven years, and absolutely restless for purpose, Lola was eager to strike back at the Architects. She sought out a Dislinked recruiter and argued her case for placement within the Espionage cell. Years spent with an Outlander group had prepared her well, and she proved a natural fit for information gathering operations. She’s ready to take on the Architects however she can, and she’s not particularly picky about how.
